Supply Chains Act
Ethical Sourcing & Supply Chain Transparency
Last Updated on January, 2026.
Louvelle is committed to ethical, responsible, and transparent sourcing practices. This statement is made in accordance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657) and describes the steps we take to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our direct supply chain.
Our Supply Chain
Louvelle is a Danish brand producing premium comfortwear. Our garments are manufactured in Italy, and we work with a limited number of carefully selected production partners. We prioritize quality craftsmanship, lawful employment practices, and respect for workers’ rights throughout our supply chain.
1. Verification
We engage in risk-based supplier verification practices to evaluate and address potential risks related to unethical labor practices.
Our approach includes:
- Working with suppliers operating in jurisdictions subject to European Union labor and employment laws
- Reviewing supplier history, location, and operational practices
- Maintaining direct communication with suppliers regarding ethical expectations and labor standards
Where appropriate, we may conduct additional reviews or request documentation to support compliance with applicable labor laws.
2. Audits
At this time, Louvelle does not conduct routine independent third-party audits of all suppliers. However, we reserve the right to assess suppliers on a risk-based basis, which may include:
- Site visits
- Reviews of operational or employment practices
- Collaboration with quality control partners or production managers
As the company grows, we intend to continue strengthening our monitoring processes.
3. Certification
Louvelle requires direct suppliers to confirm their compliance with:
- Applicable labor, wage, and workplace safety laws
- Laws prohibiting human trafficking and forced labor in the countries where they operate
Suppliers are also expected to acknowledge and adhere to Louvelle’s ethical sourcing standards as a condition of doing business with us.
4. Internal Accountability
Louvelle maintains internal standards for ethical sourcing and supplier conduct.
If a supplier is found to be non-compliant:
- We may require corrective action plans with defined timelines
- Continued non-compliance may result in termination of the supplier relationship
We believe in constructive collaboration where possible, while maintaining the right to disengage when standards are not met.
5. Training
Louvelle ensures that individuals responsible for sourcing, supplier relationships, and production oversight are informed about:
- Ethical sourcing practices
- Identifying and preventing forced labor and human trafficking
- Applicable labor standards and compliance expectations
Training may be conducted internally or through external resources, depending on role and responsibility.
Continuous Improvement
Louvelle is committed to ongoing review and improvement of our sourcing and compliance practices. As our operations evolve, we will continue to assess opportunities to strengthen transparency, accountability, and ethical standards throughout our supply chain.
